I am back from teaching and celebrating in community from the Fertile Ground Gathering...happy Beltane to you all!

I want to let you know about something special that is happening in just under two weeks near Winchester, VA.

Rev. Ron Padrón of White Rose Witching (https://www.whiterosewitching.com/) is coming to join forces with me for a workshop on Ancestor Veneration and Poppets for the Queer Community! The class will begin with a brief lecture from Rev. Padrón on Queer-affirming spirituality, Queer Ancestor veneration, and the use of physical items such as poppets in creating talismans or spirit houses. I will then lead participants through a hands-on workshop where they create their very own Queer Ancestor poppet!

But Tava, you say, I CAN'T SEW. You don't need to! These poppets are made much like Ukranian folk dolls...it's all bundling and tying. If you can tie a knot, you can make a poppet.

The class is just $30 and you will leave with a ton of information, an afternoon spent in community, new practices, and your own unique poppet.
